Burnt Toast Cafe is located in the heart of Brixton Village Market, with tables right outside in the hall where guests take in the market in all its splendour and excitement. The unassuming dark painted exterior with coloured graffiti does little to attract guests, but what makes them stand out from the other eateries is their extraordinary food.
Colourful Insta-worthy dishes are served on deep, white enamel plates, and they taste as good as they look. The regularly changing menu always has buttermilk pancakes on, with various toppings such as seasonal fruit or bacon and maple syrup. Other top choices are eggs (scrambled or poached) with smoked salmon and the option to burn your own toast and have it with a selection of jams and spreads. The pastries on display go great with the in-house roasted coffee and freshly squeezed juices.
