Brickwood Coffee & Bread is an Aussie inspired neighbourhood cafe with full table service and a breakfast menu full of Antipodean favourites. This local, approachable breakfast spot welcomes its guests with a mouth-watering display of pastries and sandwiches. On their menu, you’ll find a range of toasties and classic breakfast dishes such as ‘The Butcher’ (Brickwood’s take on a full English, with 48-hour fermented organic sourdough). For a sweeter tooth, try the toasted brioche with caramelised banana, strawberry and berry compote or maple bacon (or both!).
Pair your meal with one of their coffees made using Caravan’s bespoke blend, or one of their cold pressed juices, like the ‘Green & Lean’ (kale, cucumber, apple and ginger).
True to its name, the interior mainly sees an exposed brick wall and wood paneling on the floor and bar, as well as wooden furniture. The industrial yet welcoming look is complemented with a touch of red on the chairs, hanging lights and red tile wall, which match the eye-catching shopfront. Brickwood’s signature ceiling is made of coffee sack ‘tiles’ that can be found across all their locations. Guests have the option of enjoying their breakfast either in the comfortable indoor booths, or on the outside seating encased by a white picket fence.
