With such a vast breakfast landscape in London there is truly something for everyone. When it comes to allergens, they have the potential to make finding somewhere tricky and definitely less fun. Let’s change that! Whether you follow one of these or are simply keen to explore the increasingly impressive roster of restaurants catering for all of our needs, here are the most inclusive menus and exactly what to order from each.
For all of our lovely Breakfast Londoners who are gluten free, dairy free and vegan, this one is for you- and your friends & family who want the best for you too.
Gluten Free/ Coeliac (GF)
Farmacy
On top of being plant based- both in it’s food and also filled with plants around the restaurant, this oasis has an amazing menu for all. Order the ‘Breakfast Burrito’ with black eyed beans, guac and patatas bravas. The ‘Loaded Mushroom Taco’ with corn tortillas, corn salsa and guacamole are also a dream- even sold out last time I visited!
Eggbreak
Feeling veggie or meat this morning? The two best GF options here are without a doubt the ‘Sweet Potato Rosti’ with poached egg, goats cheese, kale, pine nuts and yoghurt or ‘Lamb Hash’ with sweet potato, fried egg, garlic pesto and yoghurt. Over to you!
Farm Girl
As with the other listings above, this beautiful restaurant also has a place in West London’s Notting Hill- alongside five others around the city. Try the acai bowl with banana, seasonal fruit, granola & almond butter.
Dairy Free (DF)
Brother Marcus
The ‘Yummy Mummy’ is the way to go here. We’re talking falafel, charred corn, grains, baba ganoush and beetroot. Alternatively build your own Breakfast Wrap with anything you can think of.
Kin Café
A great palce for both sweet and savoury breakfasts alike. Long-time breakfast ‘heroes’ are given a twist here. Try their avo, mixed seeds, chilli and poached eggs on top or their ‘Vegan Pancake’ with seasonal fruit compote and nut butters or maple syrup!
Deliciously Ella
You may have discovered their snack products already but did you know there is also a Deli. The vast majority of breakfast including creamy porridge, pancakes and smoothies are all GF, DF and Vegan. Always feeling the garlic & thyme mushrooms, avo and rocket sourdough toast!
Vegan (V/Ve)
Mildreds
The team over here are definitely showing us Londoners that anything is possible when you’re plant based. Their Big brunch with scrambled tofu, aubergine ‘bacon’, baked gigante beans, spinach and roast cherry tomatoes on sourdough is the dream!
Wulf & Lamb
If you’re looking for an indulgent breakfast outing, try these ‘Fluffy American Pancakes’ stacked and served with maple syrup, mixed berries and vanilla cashew cream. What a start to the day!
Wild Food Café
With a place in Covent Garden and Islington, this plant-based and well-being will certainly give you all the good feels. ‘The Fully Wild Breakfast’ with it’s chickpea omelette, spinach, avo, mushrooms, tomatoes and smoky baked beans alongside sourdough is honestly so great… I think I may actually have to head over and have one now.
